Suffering pretty gothic girl with chains over dark

Published by Vamptasy Publishing

She can fight evil, but can she fight the darkness in her own blood?

After the disastrous events with Miranda have subsided, Danny and Angelica have to adjust to a new kind of life at the Paranormal Investigative Division.
Fiona is still on the loose, and she has all of Hell on her side. Danny begins to enhance his psychic abilities with the help of a soul just like his. Angelica is caught between a rock and a very dark place.

Can their love survive these new trials, or will the past tear them apart?

**Thank you to the author for an ARC in exchange for an honest review**

Angelica and Danny are back! They both desperately love each other but fate seems constantly set against them…

This book continues where the last left off but I would definitely recommend reading the first books in the series as it might not make that much sense otherwise. Both main characters are undergoing massive changes and are chasing down the evil witch who tore their lives apart.

I have to admit though, I’m not finding Angelica a particularly likeable character any more as she leaves poor Danny confused with all of her conflicting messages and actions. She wants to keep him at arm’s length while she deals with her own stuff, but at the same time she keeps bumping into him and leaving him messages. After 200 years of traversing the planet, you’d think she would have picked up some more emotional maturity!

I loved the introduction of Mark and Brighton to this novel, a pair of agents from the London branch of the PID – both of them have their own histories to tell which appear in a series of flashbacks throughout the novel.
This book had its fair share of flashbacks into the history of Angelica and her father, as well as his fellow hunters – these were really enjoyable and set the scene as to how the wheels were set in motion that led to the current events.

This series makes me think of a mix between Supernatural the TV series and Blade, so if either of those things float your boat – this is definitely the series for you!
